We help parents and other family members (Step-parents, Grandparents, Uncles, Aunts and others) in a whole variety of child care cases. These include attending case conferences, representing you in Court Cases and negotiating with Social Workers. We have a broad range of experience, gained from representing many different people in cases of this nature, including children and young people themselves, parents and Public Authorities.
In addition to handling cases relating to private children matters such as residence and contact, we have extensive experience in representing children and family members in care and adoption proceedings.
Whatever your circumstance, our family team has the knowledge and experience to represent the interests of your children.
MATTERS RELATING TO CHILDREN
In all matters relating to children, the children's welfare comes before anything else. We will:
Emphasise how co-operating with your husband or wife can and will benefit your children.
Warn against the dangers of encouraging children to take sides.
eEcourage you to consider what you plan to tell your children about the separation or divorce.
Make you aware of alternatives to court proceedings, such as mediation.
Discourage court action as a way of settling disagreements, except as a 'last resort'.
Treat all matters relating to children as confidential.
