On the 31st of January 2022, John W Davies Solicitors are no longer authorised and regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority and therefore are no longer permitted to carry out reserved legal activities after this date.
The decision to close the practice has come because of several factors, the increase in running costs, particularly the professional indemnity insurance premium which has increased significantly and the ripple effect of COVID-19.
We would like to apologise to our clients, old and new, for the inconvenience this may cause but please rest assured we are still managing certain administrative tasks after the 31st January to meet our professional obligations to our clients and stakeholders. Our closure team are still working behind the scenes for the next six months to ensure there is a controlled closure of the firm.

If you are a client and have a recent matter with us that is not completed yet - All clients with live matters have been contacted by email in the first instance, and then by telephone where possible. If you believe your matter is still live but you have not heard from us, please email us at email@example.com with a subject reference of "Live file query".
If you are client and your conveyancing case has completed already, but it's not yet registered at the Land Registry - please email us with your query to firstname.lastname@example.org
If you are client and you believe we are holding client monies with your permission - please note that our team are still working behind the scenes to return client monies. Please email to email@example.com if you have a query. Our team may contact you to ask you to confirm bank details so please do not be alarmed if they do, however, please be advised that you should not give us bank details in the body of an email, please always send us bank details using an attachment. If you are a client and we hold your Will, or you are a relative of a recently deceased person and we hold their original Will - One of our regulatory responsibilities as a law firm is to ensure we make arrangements for the safe keeping of client documents. We have therefore made arrangements with a local specialist Wills company for the ongoing care of these documents, so please rest assured that your documents are safe and there is nothing to worry about.
